| When I open the CSV files in Microsoft Excel, the values in some of the columns are marked as #######. Is it an software issue? Please help. |
[+] Expand
|
|
Answer:
No, it is not a software issue.
The default width of the column in MicroSoft Excel is too short too display the value.
That is the reason the values in some of the columns are marked as ######.
If you make the columns wider in Excel, you will see the values without problem.
CSV is a simple spreadsheet format and has no control of the default column width.

| The barcode scanner doesn't work properly. It takes forever to scan. Please help. |
[+] Expand
|
|
Answer:
From out testing with 20 most popular Android devices, the barcode scanner feature works pretty well. The camera will focus every 5 seconds to take a picture and get the barcode without problem.
Based on our experience, here are our suggestions and tips for using barcode scanner:
1) Scan barcode in a bright place (with enough light).
Otherwise the software cannot figure out the code from bad quality imanges taken by the camera.
2) Try different barcode to avoid barcode issue.
3) Try different barcode scanner apps to see if your device has hardware or software issue for camera.
Some old models of Android devices have bad quality hardware and software for camera.
From Google Play Store, you can download Barcode Scanner from ZXing Team (or other providers) to verify if that's the case.
If it is, to better manage your inventory and business, we highly suggest you to switch to a high end Android device with latest Android OS.
Note: Barcode scanner feature only works on Android device with a rear camera. Most Android phones have rear cameras.
But some tablets may not have rear camera. Please check your device before using this feature.
